Regular Events
Mondays
Wee Folk on a Weekday Favourite folk songs – some old and familiar, some new and crazy. A fun, laid back friendly group for under 5s and their parents/carers to enjoy songs and music with some games and stories too. You are more than welcome to bring an instrument and give us a folksong or tune of your own.
Every Monday morning, 10.30 at Friends Meeting House, Friargate.
£4.50 per family (disclaimer: all kids must be related to you/cared for by you and not random urchins off the street).

Tuesdays
The Very Young Friends of Rowntree Park Details of the next few meetings:
- October 4th – Autumn dens. We’ll build some hiding places from natural materials and think about the creatures that might be hiding out in the park all through the Autumn season.
- November 1st - mischief and magic! Some crazy tales of magical mayhem… and a pinch and a punch for the first of the month.
- December 6th – Winter warmer. Spotting signs of Jack Frost around the park and making some sparkly things for a certain special time of year…!
All sessions run from 12:30 to approximately 2:30pm. Meet in front of the pavilion (towards the river-side of the park) and proceed to the picnic grounds via activities in the woods. We sometimes shelter in the back room of the cafe, but we aim to be outdoors if at all possible so do wrap up warm and dry when necessary! “There is no such thing as bad weather – only inadequate clothing”!! Bring your lunch. Sessions are aimed at under-fives and their parents/carers.
Thursdays
Cubs. The Cub Scout pack meets in the Southlands Methodist Church community centre on Thursdays, in term time, from 18:30 to 20:00.

Saturdays
